The holidays are meant to be a time for celebration, reconnection, relaxation, and reflection. For me, this holiday season was no exception. It has been years since so many of my family members were able to gather in one place. We enjoyed good food, great fun, and delightful fellowship. I realize this is not the situation for all families. Some may even dread this season, or become depressed at the thought of going back to a place they have worked so hard to leave. I have no trite or cliche words to try and empathize, but it is my sincere hope that you will find fellowship and community somewhere, for what is our purpose if not for relationship, if not to give and receive love. This may sound too simplistic...but sometimes truth is simple.
Holiday distractions are good for a time, but now that January is in full swing, I am glad to be back to the task of writing, performing, and recording music. I have a lot to learn, but I am loving the process. My next performance will be in Indianapolis at a beautiful venue called the Earth House Collective. They have a lovely grand piano and the perfect ambiance for creating great music. I hope many of you can join us on February 12th!
Keep up your new years resolutions, and I'll keep writing music!!
God Bless Spring...
